While indeed an admirable accomplishment, helping pilots who are unable to do so for whatever reasons can be made a more valuable asset to the clan (IMO) by aiding them to obtain improved ships and equipment.

Oh no no no noo...I know how you fly in your Cub. Fly it like your TB in a match. Tongue Tongue Tongue ;D ;D

But I fully agree with the second comment.  That's always been RBLs strong point.  We may not have pilots who outshoot everyone in the sky, but there are few other squads that were as good at being wingmates and a team as RBL.

Rutan beamed with pride as he addressed the overflow crowd of reporters.

"I’ve been to two goat ropings and a county fair but I’ve never seen anything like this. I didn't realize there were this many cameras in Mojave," he said drily. "Are some of you from out of town?"

It's not the machine that makes the pilot, but the pilot that makes the machine.

Unfortunately this may not hold true with "PC" Pilots  Now if u wanna REAL seat o the pants fly, give me a holler n we can go for a hop in Cubby

It does hold true with PC pilots. I solo'ed just about every mish (I think Az came along once or twice during my T3s) and I flew that Dunelizard all the way to T4: Exotic Vessels, at which point I got my Bella. The only component I ever purchased in the bazaar was the higher-lvl flight computer. And the programs to put in him. Frankly, I didn't need more than weapons overcharge 3 and engines overcharge 2, along with shield shunt 2 on my v2 computer, and higher versions as I could store them.

Rather than focusing on new ships and certs, we should give gear to each other as we outgrow it. "Hey, I've got this lvl3 gun that hits harder than most 4/5s. I'm using 6/7s now; you want it?" I've got tons of this kinda gear and I'm willing to let anyone come dig through my collection. Properly equipped, the Dunelizard should compete w/up to T4 NPCs easily, IMHO.

Heh, I've got no arguement with anyone picking up components anywhere.  Main reason I started crafting them and providing a stockpile in the vender was because they were HARD to come by anywhere since the change(as are many OTHER items I find) and it kinda bites if you have to spend alot of your game time HUNTING for parts.  ME, I can only spend soo long in space b4 I start turning as green as Az'Is.  :'( :'(

I'm a big fan of custom parts, RE parts, etc. I never had any problem getting good equipment off loot, but custom parts can be sooooo much better after experimenting, etc...

BTW Snoopy I still need to get that custom Armoire from you Wink
