Then, of course, X-Wing Alliance came out and everyone went nuts over it as well.  Literally thousands of mods ans patches were developed for it that added ships, battles, scenarios, even campaigns. XvT was still the hardcore game to play thoug, and XWA WoW's never saw as many pilots flying.  XWA did have a better interface for joysticks though. The free-moving camera inside the cockpit meshed perfectly with the HAT.

Saitek ST290 Pro  :  Ambidextrious (mines setup for lefties, cause i'm one)
6 button, 4 axis joystick. pretty good grip, very durable.
                            USB connection.

I still say that the lefty gamers of the world should unite and sue the big game controller manufacturers for not producing soley left-handed joysticks. All they make are right handed sticks and ambidextrious sticks. All seperate throttles are to be used with the left hand. It simply isn't acceptable. LEFTIES SHOULD BE TREATED AS EQUALS.

Being left handed is technically physical disability because the brain is wired and opperates differently than what's generally accepted. So all the companies that don't produce a soley lefty stick are displaying predjudice and they're oppressing us lefties....

nuff ranting fer now..
It's best to watch a furball collapse, analyzing the movements of the enemy. Watch how they maneuver, when they fire, how they break. Visualize your own attacks against those observations, then go in for the kill. Sometimes, though, you don't get that advantage. It's at these times where you go in guns blazing, but keep your head on a swivel.

My good ole Logitech wingman worked great for xvt and xwa.  Man I miss flying those games lol.  Feel kinda useless now................and I finally got a new comp ta boot lol.  Just my luck...........I'd love to get some oldschool xvt games/rbl parties going again.  probably have to set everything up by ip though.

as for xwa that game was more pilot friendly and the graphics rocked, but that major lag for the online experience really turned off alot of us to it.  but if you could get a smooth game it was great.  hopefully we will get another space sim *keeping fingers, toes, and hair crossed*  lol

Well with most of us having DSL the lag shouldn't be a problem.  ;D
