Cries of Havoc II: Escalation
#11
((You might want to completely redo your post because it has nothing to do with the story.  The Imperials are not the enemy anymore.  Ace is conducting simulator runs.  Please pay attention.))

Oh, I'll be making my posts to the story at the NGJP forum, so if you're waiting for me, don't.
It's best to watch a furball collapse, analyzing the movements of the enemy. Watch how they maneuver, when they fire, how they break. Visualize your own attacks against those observations, then go in for the kill. Sometimes, though, you don't get that advantage. It's at these times where you go in guns blazing, but keep your head on a swivel.

((No it isn't.  You just need to pay attention to what the others have posted.  That's really all that's needed.))

Ok, that's enough highjacking the RP.

Hobovu, READ the posts before you post your own response.  FOLLOW the story that is provided, and work within that, no going off on your own.  You can clearly write, but you're not making sense and you're not even following the story as it is.

Come tomorrow evening, I'll be removing all non-RP posts so that the story can be seen clearly.  Any out of character (OOC) comments are to be made briefly in (( )) brackets, or make a new post outside of the RP thread.

Fireyone was walking in the halls of an older section of the base were he could faintly hear a scramble alarm for the flight sims. He and B-5 made there way to the trainning sims and starpped there selfs in and went throught the procedure. The Sim started it up and he was thrust into an on going battle. "Woah to close!" Stated Fireyone through his helm as he just missed running into a vong fighter. "Ace can you read me over?" He called on the com but no response had come through yet. "ok well i'll let you responed as quickly as you can" he said and then flew to attack on of the enemy ships.

"Good to see you can join the party FO!  I just got cleared and I'll find you, don't wander off on your own.  Turn to 0.345 and bank left 45 degrees.  I've got you on my scopes and I'm 3 klicks out."  Ace said as he noticed FO's fighter enter the battle.  Swinging his ship around to meet up with the newcomer, Ace finally gets time to think and breath as his ship is finally in the clear for the time being.....

"FO I've got a visual on your ship.  Watch out!  2 bogeys off to port.......................break break break!!!!!!!!  If you can shake those guys for the time being I'll be there to help you mop up, just try to stay alive till I get there!"  Ace called into the com as he sped over to try to help FO clear those skips off of his tail.  As he is flying to the rendezvous something hits the grizzled vet........this battle is progressing way to easily.  Sure Hawk Squadron has been under alot of fire but the skips are going down way to easily and way to quickly...something isn't right.................

The Enemy Fighter close in on Fireyone X-wing when suddenly Fireyone shuts the engines off and does a smugglers escape turn casueing him to go 180 degrees . He then re-activates the engines and take out of the fighters who was cuaght off guard. "HAHA GOT HIM!" Said Fireyone over the comm. Suddenly B-5 Sensors go off with a loud wail. "Fireyone we got two vettes coming outta hyperspace with a assualt firgate." Said B-5 as he quickly uped the firer power on the X-wing. "ace did you get that?" asked Fireyone as he dodged another incoming fighter.

"Ok FO form up on my wing.  Nice work getting yourself free.  Hawk Squadron the first wave is taken care of.  All available pilots report in and form up with me and FO.  *gets 9 double clicks back over the com*"

"Hawk 3 to Ace, we lost 10, 11, and 12.  4 and 5 took some damage but are still flyable.  Probability of surviving another attack is roughly 350 to 1."

"Copy thanks Widget, just don't tell me the odds lol.  Ok everyone diamond attack formation.  New comers are 25 klicks out..............wait a second..................the vettes and frigate just jumped out.  The original cruiser we were watching has just jumped too.......what's going on here?  Ok Hawk Squadron scopes are clear, mission accomplished.  Return to base."

Ace lead the squad back to the hangar bay and as he landed his screen went blank as his simulator unit shut down.  After unstrapping and physically getting out of the sim, he heads into the Hawk Squadron office to evaluate the mission.  Upon sitting down at his desk, R2Vader rolls up in front of him and takes his place.  *bang....whizz....whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*  Suddenly the holoprojector comes to life and Ace starts to make some sense of the simulated mission his squadron just engaged in.

"Hhhmmmmm not to shabby there R2Vader.  The three ships we lost in that attack were all AI fill ins.  Every living and mechanical member of the unit made it out alive.  But something about that mission bothered me....it seemed way to easy."

"Come come now Ace, surely you aren't doubting the skills of our merry little band are you????"  R2Vader said mockingly in his thin metalic voice.

"Ofcourse not you rust bucket lol.  But we were outnumbered 3-1 and we pulled that off.  Those are good odds against tie fighters but not against skips.  Hmmmm only two likely scenarios I can think off.  First off maybe that mission came from the end of the war with the vong and they were desperate throwing green pilots out there without a yammosk to coordinate their efforts.  Towards the end of the war they were running short on supplies and pilots so that seems reasonable.....or they were screwing with us."  Ace said as he moled over the flight data.

"Maybe the could screw with you............I'm to smart for that."  R2Vader proclaimed.

"That's the only other thing that makes sense.  Before they attacked Coruscant and some of the other worlds they took over, they sent a scout ship to test the defenses.  Green pilots, no yammosk, and an actual retreat on their part all fit into that scenario.  I think that mission was one of the vong test runs.  We did pretty well considering how badly we were outnumbered, but what would have come about if we were actually taking on a seasoned vong patrol........."  Ace said as the reality of the situation hit him.  Rubbing his eyes he noted that the mission took 2.5 hours and 3/4 of the squad did survive.

"Alright you little tin can let's not fret over this, it was a victory for us after all!  Let's go find FO and congratulate him on a very successful run for his first time out with us.  Race ya to the bar............................."

Ace and R2Vader summon FO over the com as they both head towards the bar and grille.

Fireyone unstrapped himself from the sim seat and got out. He quickly recieved Ace message over the comm and started heading for bar and grille. B-5 rolled up right behind him and mad a very rude gesture at him for no reason at all. "I sensed that" said Fireyone as he continued walking to the bar. "Ehh screw you" said B-5 as he rolled ahead of him. "Something is eating him he is never in this bad of a mood unless he got something bugging him." Thought Fireyone as he continued to the bar. A few minutes later Fireyone was at the Bar and Grill.
