Ok Tank ya got your Top Ace figther pilot, Lieutenant, a jedi master, and R2Vader to help out.  I'm assuming from the other info that the station is on the ground in this alternate earth?  So I'm guess my SSD Incenerator is out.  Any chance I can use my mechs for ground combat?  Ohhhhhh wait you said fly boys only for us didn't ya.  My character is good to go as I basically set him up in the NJO era and backtracked to get the history in my profile.  So I'm good to go.

Fireyone the Yuuzan Vong are some really bad cats from the "unknown regions" of the star wars universe.  It is believed they are from another galaxy ect.  I've read all the njo books and am kind of a novice expert on the vong.  Basically you'll need to remember some very basic info.

1.  Everything in Vong tech is bioengineered.  Ships, weapons, armor, implants, even ship interiors are all organic.  They interact with their tech through voice commands, a form of telepathy where they put on a sensory helmet, and their comms devices are called villips (fleshy devices that act like a com but mutate to look like the speaker)  Their are humanoid in appearance except that they are a little taller than the average human and ripped.  I mean really ripped.  They enjoy pain and suffering and use this system gather power and prestige.  Basically the more deformed and scarred a vong is, the higher in the chain of command he/she probably is.

2.  The Vong can speak basic but look at the beings of the Star Wars galaxy as infidels.  One thing to note is that they have a very hard time saying the word jedi.  It usually comes out jeedai.  They also live by the motto of kill first and ask questions later.  Their homeworld was destroyed and they began running short on supplies, so they took to space in search of new worlds to conquer hoping to find new resources.

3.  They have been stripped of the priviledge of being "seen in the force".  This is described in some of the last books of the series and I don't remember the specifics of it exactly, but to a force user they appear as a void.  This puts the jedi at an almost disadvantage when fighting the Vong in hand to hand combat because they can't sense their thoughts or movements.  Also the Vong weapon of choice is the amphistaff.  A serpintile whiplike thing that also can be used as a spear.  The amphistaff can't be severed by a lightsaber and it requires a precise strike to the "head" to kill one.

Feel free to ask me, tank, and goku anything about the vong.  There is alot to cover and like I said these three rules are just the basics.
There is no emotion:  There is peace.  There is no ignorance, there is knownledge.  There is no passion, there is serenity.    There is no chaos, there is harmony.   There is no death, there is only the force-jedi code

This is a very structured story guys, just so you know.  I have planned out how most everyone will interact in the story itself, with enough flexibility built-in to let people cast their characters as they normally are.

Let there be no mistake...you're running your characters only UNLESS you've worked something out with someone else beforehand.

And I'm not being hypocritical here because I ran most of the characters of RBL over at the other forum.  It was part of the story and in reality I didn't actually write for that many other characters.  Zara mostly, with some Aslan and a bit of Azis.  That's about it.

No other Sith allowed in the story though I'm afraid.  You might have been Dark Jedi at one time, but you're either rehabilitated, or you're not Jedi.  Only two Sith in this story, and Darth Char takes up the Master position, with Darth Ka'on (run by another member) being the apprentice.

It's nothing personal, but it would cause problems, and would probably grind things to a halt in the story.  Sith don't serve for the greater good.  That's just the way it is in the Star Wars lore, and this story follows Star Wars lore very exactly on everything, from tech to the Force.  RBL itself has been conforming more to it since we've mostly gone to Galaxies, what with Snoopy becoming Snoop'y the Bothan, and Aslan is now a Wookie.

So let's hammer things down with those of you who have different types of characters (FO and Man53), and we can do some fleshing out of other characters.

Where's Pyn when we need him eh?

Oh and Ace:  Yes, the Incenerator would be out pretty much, as it would have been taken during the war with the Vong.  We still have the Intrepid, the Swift, and Vapor's Dreadnaught for capital ships.  Mechs....iffy on that, but most likely not as I'd like to keep RBL in the skies...(not that they have a choice in the matter... >Big Grin ).  The Earth that Tank is on isn't an alternate Earth.  It is OUR Earth, this present time.  The station isn't on the ground.  There's two RBL Stores, one on RBL Home, and one on Earth.  Tank stays at the one on Earth nowadays.  The RBL Store on Earth though IS a cut off pylon of a station.  It's basically the entryway for ships coming to Earth to trade, and with a Jedi Master on the ground at the only area where ships are capable of landing, it keeps them in line.

The reason why RBL will train in sims against the Vong is to basically fight against the strongest opponents in space combat prior to facing off against an unknown enemy with unknown strength.  Fight the hardest opponent you can, and thereby you prepare yourself to better deal with anything else.  Believe me....it'll become very handy.  ;D

I'll begin getting the other posts together for Cries of Havoc: Escalation ready.  I could link you folks to the first Episode so you can follow the story as it's progressed if you want.  It's a very fun read really, which I've been slowly working on putting up on FanFiction.Net.

Keep asking questions, the more RBLs involved, the better.  Would be great if we could get some of the folks who just play Galaxies involved too. Smile

Tanker (tangk'er)n. 1. A dusty, crusty, grease-covered, dirty, sweaty, bright eyed, fuzzy faced, haircut-needing, beer-drinking, underrated, over-worked, underpaid, oversexed, little s%#* who can take a Tank and do more battlefield damage in ten minutes than a grunt squad can do all day.

:o TRAITOR!

Meh, I'm not a BAD jedi, I'm just a dark one, I can follow the rules if its needed Tank, you know that I can be flexible, and even bow down to the higher ranks if need be.

Do not under estimate the power of the dark side!

Ok Tank I'm good to go now.  But the Incenerator wasn't taken during the war with the Vong.............(unless that's part of your story............) I uhhhhh "acquired" her during the Imperial Civil War with Admiral Zaarin.....(that's where we were in the star wars saga during my run in DG)  But if I have to work without her I can.  Already have an idea brewing for myself and R2Vader along the lines of running combat sims and studying the outcomes.....hehehehe.  My character is also human so there won't be anything "funny" bout little ole me.

I'd like to have more than just three interested parties.

Those of you in Galaxies need to pass the word to the rest of the guys who seem to forget that we have a website here. Wink
