Well maybe you guys can break down some of the character attributes down for me and what they do, or are needed for.  ;D

I'm just modifying that a bit and downgrading the tactical aspects, as well as the technical and strategic ones.  Nothing historical here beyond the era lol.

Bro, battletech is the hex-grid board game of Mech warrior. Check it out some time.

Yea, I know.  Where do you think Battle Tech got it from?  Games like Panzerblitz, Squad Leader/Advanced Squad Leader and others...all of which were created in the 50's and 60's.

BattleTech appeared in 1984.  So...yea.  Tongue

And I played some of the 60's Civil War games from Avalon Hill (Fredricksburg, Chancellorsville, and one other that escapes me) when I was probably 10-13, somewhere in there.

Was also playing the first Mechwarrior PC game at that time.  Polygon block mechs lol.  Gotta love it.

Well I'll happily post up my rough draft of the game design, along with a spreadsheet of the record pages for the character, platoon and company stats here in awhile.

Alrighty, here we go.

Here's the draft:  http://rblm1a2tanker.com/Other/WarGameDesignRTF.rtf
And here's the stats:  http://rblm1a2tanker.com/Other/WarGameStats-2.xls

Oh, and completely unrelated, I have met Micheal Stackpole twice now, both times at GenCon.  Pretty cool guy, and he had some good writers workshops going on.  I've been to almost all of them.  Should he be there again next year...I'm totally going to the last couple of them. Big Grin

Here's the notes for the ones I have been to though.
