The omnicron transport docked with the unwitting SSD near a docking terminal and plugged into the ship data terminal used to preform diagnostics check for vessles bringing in cargo to the great warship. By the time the Incenerator realized the transports pressence, it was too late.

"They have pulled the frigate ahead of the VSD Aslan" Aces voice cracked over the comm."We're gonna be getting heavy cross fire!"
The squadron was just exiting the asteroid field to make the initial assult.
Aslan came back over the link."Not to worry, we won't be easy targets for those heavy guns, it's the fighters we gotta watch out for, and if were lucky they'll take some friendly fire from thier own frigate!"
R2-Vader came on next.
"Incenerator has closed to cannon range. They are drawing up thier turbolaser batteries now."
"HA!! exclamed Ace. "won't they be suprised when they find that SSD is fully operational!"
R2-Vader broke in."Something is wrong. Why havn't the TIE fighters been harrassing......"
Too late. The massive cannons sent bolts of coherrent light streaking through the asteroid field incenerating smaller asteroids while breaking up the larger ones. Several of the TAU fighter were shredded by shards of debris from a near by asteroid and many other fighters took heavy dammage. The fighters who faired best were the fighters in the lead of the assault.
"TANK, TANK REPORT IN!!! WERE ARE YOU"Aslan shouted into his mic.
Tanks ship lay dead in pace. Bit's of debris had perfferated his wing panles.... the engines refused to work. He could hear pellets of micrometeors pelting the hide of his ship. The ion cannon squadron under his charge.... destroyed. A huge chunk of rock rolled past his view port momentarily blocking the VSD from his sight. His communications terminal was dead as well.Using the force he reached out.
The Incenorator ceased fire and began to emerge form the asteroid field and began a slow turn bringing it about with the VSD.

"The virus planted on board the SSD was quite the success comander. Operation Juxtapose worked perfetly."
Commander Heterly approched the captain. "Sir the rebles have broken off thier attack, they apear to be disoriented by the "set back" that they have experenced. Should we contact them and discuss terms for thier surrender?"
Captain Phantiel looked down his nose at the tactical officer.
"There will be no "terms for surrender" he said gravly.
"Let the fighters finnish them off." With that, cpt.Phantiel turned and walked away exiting the bridge. As he was leaving he gave the order. "Launch the resrve fighters. I want every republic figter to be destroyed. Then we will enter the asteroid field and find the base."

The fighters came swiftly.
Ace Had four alone to deal with and just as he drew a bead a bolt sliced right through the hull at a glancing blow, just enough to knock his weaposn off line and lose him his flight control.
"damn, this is it." he thought to him self. When two of the four tie fighters dissapeared in a blinding flash, and a third fighter was crushed by the shields of a YT-1300 as it blasted it's way through the TIE swarm.
"SORRY WE WERE LATE FOR THE PARTY!" shouted D'orjahl who now maned the communications console in the cock pit of the rusting hulk of a ship.
"IF I'M GOIN DOWN TODAY... I'M GOIN DOWN FIGHTIN'!!!!"
The flight tech had found a breath mask in a storage locker and discovered that his breathing was much easier now that he was wearing it.
"Thats great "Dorgy"!" came Aslans voice over the comm. "What happened? station life got too boring? had to live the life of a morron? I hope you brought a new fleet with you!"
D'orjahl came back over the comm. "NO FLEET, BUT I FINALY FOUND A USE FOR THE MULLET!!! HE'S PRETTY DAMN GOOD WITH THAT TURRET!!!"
Technical difficulties resolved...thread author will be hanging around for awhile...carry on everyone! ;D
