while i was checking other cases i found a pretty cool case the Antec P180B it looks good  has bigger fans and is somewhat more expensive then the Solo(just don't like the swinging door case much) and it has a its own chamber for the PS

while the Antec Solo Black is cheaper and doesn't have the swinging door but i hear can get craped easily and alot of people sayt that the power buton breaks and they use modeling glue to fix it  Tongue

can anyone help me out

The prices are looking more reasonable now.  Good HDD choice btw, lots of room and speed (which is key).  What do you need the adapter for though?  If it's for your monitor that should come with your video card.  Mine came with two adapters.

You seem to be spending an awful lot though on that 8800GTS.  Mine was the same in terms of size, but nearly $100 less.  I believe the price has come down too.

Here's the specifics for the card I have.  EVGA 640-P2-N821-AR GeForce 8800GTS 640MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail

Not trying to push it by any means, but no point having you pay more when you don't HAVE to.  It's a good base to go off of so you can do some comparitive shopping.

Let's see my spending list..

Case: $174.99
CPU: $314.00
Motherboard: $399.99
Memory: $299.99
Video Card: $389.99
DVD-ROM Burner: $33.99
DVD-ROM: $18.99
Power Supply: $109.99
Hard Drive: $159.99
CPU Cooling: $33.99
Total: $1935.91

Looks like memory, CPU and the mobo got me in terms of the cost.  Course your CPU choice is a slightly lower level one, but that's all good, provided you can upgrade your mobo with a better CPU if you so choose.

Overall, your machine parts list is looking good for the price; the only thing now that's looks iffy is the vid card, in terms of price.  Odd that it's so much more than mine, considering it's practically the same card, just different company maker.  Eh, what can ya say?

I'd check the prices on that vid card, see if they haven't gone down.

I don't think you'll need to purchase the thermal paste seperately, as my CPU fan and heatsink came with a small tube of it.  All the same, it wouldn't hurt to have it either.  And if you don't use it...well, then you don't use it. Big Grin

Odd that the power supply you have listed costs you $20 more, and it's the exact same as mine.  Maybe there was a rebate deal at Newegg or something at the time.

I'm jealous your RAM cost less though lol.  Ah well, those prices fluctuate all the time.  Or maybe it's cause your choice is DDR2 800 while mine was DDR2 1000 lol.

All in all it doesn't seem like that bad of a rig.  One question though...where you going to put the extra 120mm fans?  I don't see slots for'em.  It looks like it comes with 3 120mm's already.

I think my buddy has a case like that.  It's served him well for a long time.  Though the front USB ports have been worn out I believe.

Anyways, looks good man.  Definitely focused on what you want to get and kept the price reasonable.  I think the fans you can do without (only because the side panel doesn't have spaces to put them in, otherwise I'd go for having them), but otherwise I'd say you'll have a pretty good rig.

Well that's cool and all, I just don't see the slots for you to put them in.  Maybe it becomes clear when the case is in front of you though.  ???
