Checked out the hidden Rebel base Aslan
#1
The go-to person there isn't even a PERSON! It's C-3P0!!  Along with R2-D2, and Leia upstairs, it makes for a very busy base..esp. with the quests C-3P0 offers to put 1 through.
As far as the location goes Aslan, that area in general looked fine to me for building the new RBL city...and FAR safer for us LOWER leveled combat types...heh.  The generic houses I gave you SHOULD work fine at that location(we never DID test THAT part did we?), but just in case I ALREADY have 5 Corellian houses rdy to go and the Corellian city hall can be rdy for tomorrow night.  I can have 5 more Corellian houses rdy for Tuesday, if needed.  I'll need probably til Thursday to ALSO have a Corellian Guild Hall rdy....I actually ran low on inventory when I checked out the structure requirements. :o :Smile :o ;D ;D :'( :'( (and here I'd THOUGHT I'd OVERsupplied myself with certain items...lol, silly me)
At any rate, I'm calling it a nite.  Let me know if you want me to proceed, or if you have an ALTERNATIVE discovered.
BTW, the Corellian houses I'm building have an option for an ADDITIONAL FLOOR that can be added later, just in case anyone wants to expand the size of the 1 they end up with, same as the generic one's you have now.

The only two probs with the base on Corellia is, thats surrounded by mountains, not sure if there is a spot to build.

And whats more important to me there is no space ship terminal.

But on the other side I'm only the visitor, you guys get killed in your homes on dantooine Tongue

Actually, the nearest city to the site we were looking at is Kor Villa, which has a shuttleport AND a spaceport.  Except for immediately around the city, there are no mountains that HAVE to be traveled to get to the location..Aslan and I took the FISHING route and went upstream Wink.. the area were looking at is mainly all river valley and SPARSELY populated, so there's LOTS of room to decide on a final location there, IF that's the area finally decided on.

The DOWN side of Kor Villa is that currently, it's IMP controled, which can be trouble if your listed as a combatant(Aslan had fun at least..there were LOTS of targets to keep him busy :Smile Wink ;D)  Of course, if we decide on THAT area, we could always LIBERATE the city....lol.

I dunno if anyone has done any of the missions C-3P0 has in mind at the base.  I started to last night for curiosities sake, but got called back to RBL to help accept a new member(natch, by the time I got BACK there, hobovu and the recruit were no where to be found :Smile) Oh, well.

1 thing I DO find promising about the area is the potential MINERAL finds. All my extracters are in a river valley area just a bit EAST of the site, and  it has the RICHEST mineral concentration of high grade metals I've yet found.  And from Aslan's viewpoint...the fishing looks promising too. ;D  At least, we lowcombatlevel types won't have to worry about getting KILLED stepping outside our doors.(Which reminds me, I'll have to add a Correlian cloning facility to my list of structures to make, for run ins with Imps.....ahhhh, an architects work is NEVER done...lol)

Seen the area myself and I agree.  The resources are quite good.  Snoop hooked me up very nicely, and whenever Goku is ingame, he'll get my original equipment already prepaid, so he'll be set for any resources he needs or gets for our heavy builders such as Acto, Simon, and Snoop (and anyone else I missed there).

Now...how does one liberate a city?  ;D

Aslan here ;D
Well that takes alot we must have more reb bases than imps..... anyhow I want to make one last ditch effort on daatonine where we are now. I think it might work if we get 10 houses to make a horseshoe around the currnt outpost on the hill leaving enough space for the CH to take the place of the outpost. it is where I put it before. so far me yub and actocross and core are up there using little houses.... heck its worth a try befor having to pack up and leave...... I will be gone for 5 days starting tonight so give it a try make your residence there get the houses from the guild i will leave the CH there too we just need 10 permanent resident to get it to work good luck and the admiral will be back soon from his LOA *S*

I spend my first year in SWG living in a house close to Kor Vella.
But after the imperial breakdown which converted Kor Vella into a imp stronghold, I only was there twice, and I got killed both times, for beeing covert rebel.

I dont know if that changed.

For your own safety, just don't get caught with contraband Wink

Hey guys,

FYI: Kor Vella is one of those cities that will always remain IMP, regardless of who controls the planet.

I think we'll have fewer problems with varmints on Dant once we get our city setup.

One more thing...

I have recently dropped all my artisan abilities.. I am now Master Rifle / Master Combat Medic / Novice BH

Contraband? Heck, don't get CAUGHT being a combatant with a low CL like ME!!  Suffice it to say, I didn't LAST too long on my own...lol.  Yeah, this imp thing could DEF. become a pain until we got big enough to have our own shuttleport.  Regardless of the final location, I'm STRONGLY tempted to build a house up there anyway...it's a GREAT vacation area.  I'd HAVE to set up an outfitters vender and supply it with fishing rods and LOTS of bait.  I bet I'd have at least 1 repeat wookie customer Wink ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
