For us Jump to Lightspeed pilots, if you are a Rebel (maybe Imp but I can't say with certainty) you can get special permission to land at the abandoned Rebel base and save yourself hundreds of credits in travel between the RBL Guild Hall and shuttleports.
So how to get there. First, you have to comm the Dantooine Space Station and ask about receiving special permission (the option appears when you talk to the station). Talk with him over the details and accept the mission he gives you.
Then you will be sent to a waypoint to free a freighter from Imperial control. There are four Tier 3 TIE Fighters escorting this ship, and all must be destroyed first. Then, after that's done, fly to the freighter, and then escort it. You'll have to deal with several waves of Imperial ships (a mix of them, with TFs, TIs, and TBs being the majority, although you do see a couple TAs) before it reaches the Dantooine Station. It goes to hyperspace, and then you're given another waypoint to a whole fleet of supply ships.
On your way to them, roughly....7-8 Tier 3 TIEs appear, a mix of them again. Destroy them all, and you have completed the mission.
Head back to the station, comm it, and you will now have the option to land at the abandoned Rebel Base from now on.
I strongly recommend you bring some wingmates though if you're not highly advanced in your piloting levels. Especially if you've shot up some of the pirates in the area, as they will bounce you. As do some Imperial ships that aren't a part of the mission.
