Permanent duty station

Greetings all,

For all of you whom I havent gotten a hold of already, (pretty much everyone) Ive been told where I'll be stationed at for my first PDS. Ill be heading up the coast about 45 minutes from LeJeune to MCAS Cherry Point. Dunno if they have any embarkers up there already but Ill be attached to the Marine Aircraft Logistics Squadron (MALS) 14. Thats under MAG-14--which is comprised of a few Harrier wings, Intruder wings, and I think a C-130 wing. My job as a Basic Logistics Embarkation Specialist is to plan loading and unloading of aircraft, (I think its called sticking and kicking). Ill be heading up there on my 22nd birthday--16 May 05(*sigh* dont tell the Chief tank) after 10 days leave back home (marking 26/365). Meantime im doing Prac-Ap and hydrating for log runs every MWF here at Johnson--the entertainment capital of nowhere.

Hehe, I had trained on the loading and unloading procedures, and packing/tiedown procedures for aircraft...a long time ago.  Couldn't tell you very much about it now honestly, but I preferred to be on tanks rather than doing that stuff.

I know it doesn't seem important, but just for future reference take into account OPSEC; Operational Security.  A lot of the info you passed on was a bit of a compromise (as in you told a bit too much).  Granted we're good folks here, but...shtuff happens.  Just keeping ya informed, I know you probably know already, but it doesn't hurt to reiterate it.

Hey Vapor hope you do well on your first assingment. Its cool that we have actually soilders in the millitary like Tanker and you. Me I never plan on joining the army I want to be Film Director. i've alwayed loved movies and what made want this as my job was Ironicly The Star wars TrilogyGeorge lucas Inspired me thats why Im such a big fan of the series. I also don't know why Im ranting like this. ;D
