Attention all soldiers of RBL. The link above threatens our very survival. Just last summer we were faced with this same fight and we prevailed. Once again the XVT community is banding together to fight for it's life. For those of you that don't want to hit the link, I'll summerize. In October the zone has XVT and XWA on the extinction list. They want to shut us down for good. This is a huge fight because the very survival of many gaming communities in the star wars universe revolve around XVT. Many pilots will be lost, bases deserted, webpages left blank, and worst of all some pilots (like myself) may not have the heart to go on in the PC gaming world. At least not at the competitive level. Those of us with older machines that can't run newer games will be SOL anyway. So troops gather up all your supplies, fix up your fighters, polish up your droids, get in the gravity training chamber, and start eating Aslan's ewok surprise. We need to be lean and mean to accomplish our goal: SURVIVAL!
While snooping around the zone I have heard that DJO is cooking something up once again. They will probably lead the charge being the largest faction around today. That telarian server they had wasn't such a bad idea now that the zone wants us gone again, to bad they had to shut it down. As always you can rest assured that I take this issue very seriously and very personally. For me XVT is the only game I get into online. Without it my comp will just collect dust. XVT was a pioneer for star wars games on the PC. It should be imortalized, not kicked to the curb! The news team won't rest until this conflict is resolved.
