KO here goes the latest and most current update on the XVT and XWA situations.

As most of you know I've been keeping tabs on this situation very closely. Let's face it xvt and xwa are my online life. As I haven't gotten into many other online games, obviously I'm doing whatever I can to help save these two. So for those of you that think I'm nutz...well lol I think it's justified Smile.

XVT
The xvt community is going to be the most confusing at this time. So please bear with me as there is going to be alot of info in this post. As of this past month (june 03) BSC has declared that all WoW matches must be played in the zone at the Rebel Base II. The Rebel Base II is located at the following link. http://www.zone.msn.com/directplay This room is exactly like the original rebel base where we all first met online. But the problem here is that when it opened 2 months ago, the zone said it would only be open for a total of 6 months. So from the time of this post the rebel base II will be operational for another 4 months and counting. (this is the last news I have heard of this issue.) If things go as projected and the reb base II is closed in 4 months, DJO has a new gaming sight up. I've been there and it works pretty well. They still have some minor bugs that they are working out, but the sight is fully functional. http://www.telariangaming.com This sight works very similarly to the zone. The main difference is once your in a game room you have to click a button to adjust settings, and then you have to click a button to let others know your ready to fly. All of these things are also color coded in the game room though, so once you get the hang of it, things are pretty smooth. With this game room though, once it is launched you'll get a message asking you to open file or save it to disc. Just open the file. If you save it to disc totally anarchy will ensue.

XWA
To get to the xwa playground go to the following link. http://www.zone.msn.com/directplay
there you will see a room that says "xwing alliance" And it works just like the original zone room for XWA. This game I am just getting back into, so I don't have much recon info on it yet. To my knowledge there is not a time frame attached to this room. Any further updates that I find, I'll post as a reply to this post.

Ok that long post before this one is now irrelevant. go to the zone and log in. then click on the cd-rom required menu. xvt is towards the bottom as the games are listed in alphy order.
