I pre-ordered to make use of the 12x XP gain so you can focus purely on story missions.  Which in one respect has been great.  In 6 hours I was able to level up a level 15 Knight to level 30.  However, the leveling slows down considerably after that, with it taking another 6 hours from 30 to 35.  On top of that, the rewards system was not made with a pure story mission focus, so you are starved for planetary commendations, good gear or mods.  So you have to really learn how to make full use of your companions and class combat style to get the most out of it.  Gear shall not save you here, no sir.

That said, it's going to be a lot of fun.  Revan is apparently back and going to war with both sides.  This is going to become very interesting.

Tanker (tangk'er)n. 1. A dusty, crusty, grease-covered, dirty, sweaty, bright eyed, fuzzy faced, haircut-needing, beer-drinking, underrated, over-worked, underpaid, oversexed, little s%#* who can take a Tank and do more battlefield damage in ten minutes than a grunt squad can do all day.

I pre-ordered and re-upped for the XP bonus too. Yeah the rewards system isn't so great doing just class missions and no alts for financial support. Fortunately I already had some alts at 55 with decent enough bank to help buy grind gear.

I do like being able to focus entirely on story and not have to run the same planet missions over and over again, after my 5th or 6th alt that was getting a bit old.

Well now that it's out and they've overhauled the skills system with disciplines, I'm a little meh about it.  Might be because I haven't had a chance to really focus on it to see how it works, but to me it doesn't feel nearly as customizable as the skill trees system was.  Now it's just a linear path, and if you get enough of the side points, then you can tweak it.

Still, the solo flashpoint was a lot of fun.  Ran around with my gunslinger on Korriban slaying Sith like nobody's business.  Cause that's how I roll. Big Grin

I had started a pretty new toon right before the expansion dropped and this character feels more powerful at level 25.  Some of the special attacks feel more powerful with the disciplines focused on them.  Maybe I'm crazy but that's what it feels like to me lol.  Am working on leveling this new Jedi tank as I just can't bring myself to tackle revan with a gunslinger lol

The discipline system is taking me a little time to get used to.  Lotta folks think that the classes were nerfed because of it, but I'm not so sure.  I think it probably has more to do with peoples familiar playstyles not working so well, and me...well, I'm not that consistent a player for this stuff to become muscle memory.  Gear is still exceptionally important though.

I admit, I do miss having certain abilities on my gunslinger... Sad
