Godz Minnionz
#1
Dear sir or madam, I am xgmx, the leader and founder of Godz Minnionz, a online gaming clan.  I founded Godz Minnionz in 2004 and it currently boasts 75+ active members.  I would like to open diplomatic negotiations with your club, if at all possible, and perhaps even form an alliance.

I look forward to the future cooperation and partnership of our two factions, thank you for your time.

I am not one of our admirals, nor am I a diplomat of any sorts around our station, but as you have posted multiple times now, and feel you have not received a straight answer, I will do my best to uphold the standards and general expectations of anyone in our humble abode. Please read the following response:

Xgmx,

I'm sorry if you feel like you have not received a straight answer from our group on your offer of diplomacy and alliance. I won't say the following applies to us all, but it seems to be the general feel around here these days.

Most of us that participate here in ReBeL are here because we are a family, more so than a gaming "clan, club, group, or guild". Not many of us have time to play games as competitively as we used to, and when we do have time, it's for fun. I'm sure there are a few people around this station, myself included, that would love to take you up on your offer to team up in a few games here and there, but honestly, to say we're "allied", or even capable of "diplomatic negotiation" implies that one, we are capable of diplomacy (see furry creatures about the station and be wary), and two, that we are an active group in the now very broad gaming world.

Don't get me wrong, we play games, and we enjoy them, and we appreciate your offer.

I'm sure you'll see our members around in a few games every once in a while, and we'll always take the time to be courteous towards you and your gaming companions, just as we'll always look forward to a fun, friendly, challenging match against or along side you in these games, but I don't think we can really be included in the realm of competitive gaming these days.

Will we accept your partnership and companionship in any games we come across you or your companions in? - I would venture to guess, absolutely.
Can we be expected to play any games at any time, and/or even be expected to be seen around the games you play? - Most likely not, we're too sporadic and random of gamers, and rarely have the time to participate in competitive gaming environments.

If anyone here at our station feels that I have spoken poorly, or that my response does not represent one, or the whole, I'm sure they will voice their opinion. Please do not take this response as final. We here are individuals as well as a group, so please, consider this response one of diplomatic courtesy, if anything, and check back with us.

I personally look forward to seeing you around when Diablo III comes out, and as well on Xbox Live if you and your friends play there.

In the past RBL has never been in an alliance with another squad.  Mostly because the subject never really came up.  We flew with anyone and everyone, which was the point to us.  The closest we ever came to something along those lines was associating ourselves more closely to another, such as ASF and OBS.  But outright alliance?  Not really.

This is a much more casual group now than it was back in the day.  That it still exists at all, when so many have fallen away, is amazing.  Though even in our hey-day we flew for fun, with real life coming first.  That has been and always shall be what RBL is about.

So that is pretty much why you haven't gotten a straight answer.  There was no straight answer to give.
