I was thinking Scappoose http://www.airnav.com/airport/KSPB for initial arrival... I enjoy flying at night too so it be hard tellin how late in the day I'd arrive. Top off the tanks there and maybe skirt out to the turf heheh
I think in the cardinal I'd need at least 1900 feet... with 100' trees I'm not sure... the 172's need 1460 at 0C to 1945 at 40C to clear 50' obstacle... I haven't seen a POH for the cardinal yet so I dont know how well it performs short fields. Hopefully I will get some grass experience, I think if I get my own plane, my instructor will be more free to show stuff like that (not being under the FBO rental rules heheh).
