That's good Holmes, you need to practice in the wind, lot's of pilots won't fly when it's windy. I feel that's a huge mistake, who knows what the weather will be like when you arrive at your destination.
The runway I trained on was small, we always took off east-west because it was downhill. I wish I could remember the length, was short, very short. The biggest plane I ever seen there was a Cessna 182 LOL.
It made going to a big airport funny. I could have taken off on any taxiway.
