Techie help
#4
If you have a USB flash key you could download the drivers with your desktop and just plug em in to the lappy ;D

I do know that some early drivers, and even early XP (you're up to date on service packs right?) had trouble with wireless encryption. Especially with WPA/WPA2. I'm guessing once you get her all up to date it'll probably work fine.

There could be a multitude of other things to try... but given that it's not working for you at work, I'm guessing it's the drivers.

If you are happy with win7 on your desktop, and you're able to load it on the laptop... go for it ;D I loaded 7 on a older laptop at work and it's so much happier with it vs xp... much faster in allot of things too.
Rebel parts... Imperial parts... All Made on Tatooine!!!
