Re:Heads up. - Holmes - 01-18-2003 Here is something I found that could be tried: Quote: This problem is because of MSIE 6 restrictive cookie control. Simply go to your Tools menu and choose Privacy and set the level down to Low. Re:IE Cookie Problems - Holmes - 01-18-2003 Here's another fix.. this worked for Zara. He downgraded back to IE5.5 then under Control Panel -> Internet Options - > Security set the drop down to Low instead of medium ... that got him going. I'm not sure if my above post fixes IE6 or not. To downgrade do this: in control panel under add/remove programs remove IE6... then go to MS and download IE5.5SP2 here http://download.microsoft.com/download/ie55sp2/Install/5.5_sp2/WIN98Me/EN-US/ie5setup.exe then follow the IE5 fix above. I even went to Security and changed the Security level for the internet to a custom level (which was Low), and it didn't stick! It went back to Medium every time. Re:IE Cookie problems - M1A2Tanker - 01-23-2003 I found a way around the cookie problem. For some reason, if you try to login to your .NET passport at the Zone, it doesn't let ya. But if you have one (and you know it), and you have...say....a hotmail account, just login at hotmail, then use a bookmark and jump over to the XvT Zone page. I'm fully up and running again! I'll be looking for folks tonight. ![]() Re:IE Cookie problems - Norghi - 01-23-2003 Well i wish i would have known about this problem a long time ago i ran into this back in bata XP the best way i fixed it was like tank said going through Hotmail and in the search box search for zone and take the link as still being loged in in hotmail...... Re:question - Hondo - 02-24-2003 I figured out something on the IE6. You have to tell it in internet options where you want your cookies stored. I couldnt get into the zone after DL'ed it and spent hours trying to figure out why. When I saw in the internet options that mine wasn't being stored anywhere. Once I set to save them in the right place everything worked fine. Maybe this will help. |
