Sorry all.

I know that with the sudden turbulent times we've been going through we need leadership and guidance now more than ever.

Unfortunately, it may appear as if I've blown off all of RBL of late, and not helped to provide much in the way of anything.

My sincere apologies on this. Allow me to mention what all is and has been going on to keep me away from here, my second family.

First off, my Mom had bought a new place, and needless to say, it was a disaster area. Mold had grown in all the insulation in ALL the outside walls of the house, downstairs and up. So instead of a small fixer-upper as was planned, it became a major remodeling effort, and it just grew (as most remodeling efforts do) when we found structual problems (like a missing header or two in some doorways...I'll have to show the pics sometime). So I had to assist, to the point I had to drop two classes at college in order to handle the load. Naturally, there were other cuts in my time, such as my flight time.

Now things on that end have gone to the point beyond beyond my help, and we have professionals doing what work there is left. Just in time for papers to be done in my last three classes.

Now I'm past the papers....only to have the Army hit me with something else. Next week I'll be gone the entire week in order to attend a conference (it's all about paperwork...a waste of time in my opinion), so this week I'll have to take my finals instead of doing them next week as the school planned. On top of that, Mom sold the house I'm in now, and by May 30th, we have to be out of this one and into the new one (provided that the other person's finances are in order).

This summer isn't looking to good either. PLDC is planned (but I haven't gotten the orders yet) for June 13-26th up in Wisconsin. I'll get home, and then I might have to make a quick trip to Fort Knox the 29th, and then on July 6th, I'm off to Fort Benning for 17 days.

At which point, I'll most likely be sick and tired of traveling...but wait! There's more! Right after this, I'll have maybe a month or so off...to move! BAH!!!

That's right, as if moving to the new place isn't enough, I'll have to move once again to Western Illinois Univeristy to finish up the last two years of my teaching degree. Good news is most of my stuff is already boxed up, and it still will be when I get done with all the Army training I have to do this year.

I still have to set up the RBL RL meeting at Camp Basswood...or at least set it up so people can make plans. However, due to everything thing that's been going on, both for me and everyone else, as well as in the nation...it might be better to postpone it till next summer. It's everyone's call on that though.

Overall, I've been kinda running myself ragged to a degree. Been working out nearly every day so I can go to PLDC without a problem (and to just get in shape...I need it), doing Karate, school, house, packing....so yea, I've kinda had to let RL take priority more or less. I haven't written any stories of late (mostly), and as we all know I haven't been around to fly or help with the XvT issue, the site, or even my own website.

So I have to ask myself...should I retire? Or go to reserves? Quite frankly I don't want to and as long as things are willing I won't. There just isn't enough of me to go around right now though.

Where's a cloning facility when you need one? ;D

Anyways, that's what's going on for me. I'll keep posting when I can and I'll try to do everything I can when I have the time and energy to do it.

Drat...I just missed a big darned fly.....

I do check the boards everyday just so you know. I may not say anything, but I'm always updated...so long as everyone posts something. Wink

Good work Ace and Dark. Hopefully we'll be able to keep the game alive a bit longer.

My thoughts on XvT leaving the Zone? I'm not surprised really. I knew it was coming, just didn't expect it to be so soon. So we'll have to prepare ourselves for the next thing...whatever that maybe. Let's keep our options open, and not get discouraged.

Until my next lengthy update, (which will be tomorrow 8 ET, 9 CT, only on CNN ;D ;D)...ok, jk. 8)

I'll be here. Just a little quieter is all. Smile

Tanker (tangk'er)n. 1. A dusty, crusty, grease-covered, dirty, sweaty, bright eyed, fuzzy faced, haircut-needing, beer-drinking, underrated, over-worked, underpaid, oversexed, little s%#* who can take a Tank and do more battlefield damage in ten minutes than a grunt squad can do all day.

i belive i speack for everyone when i say that i understand completely, Tanker. Moving can be very hecktic, so it's very understandable that you've been busy with RL stuff. No problem bro.
It's best to watch a furball collapse, analyzing the movements of the enemy. Watch how they maneuver, when they fire, how they break. Visualize your own attacks against those observations, then go in for the kill. Sometimes, though, you don't get that advantage. It's at these times where you go in guns blazing, but keep your head on a swivel.

Don't worry mate, we all have times when RL have to take precedence. It just gets more magnified if your the squad leader or in one of the command spots. Believe me I know how you feel. I had to make it through my last two years of college trying to keep those crazy people at DG in order. Being a peon it's easy to slip in and out. I'm reserving a special "warhead" for you in the trout cannon. It'll be ready and waiting when you get back.

Ace out
