BSC has done it again
#1
For anyone who has every posted a simple question on the bsc message boards I feel for you. On a few occasions, even dating back to my leadership of DG, I have had some relatively simple questions that I wished to ask bsc for answers too. Time and time again they just ridicule, mock, and act like pompous jerks when they give a reply. This really upsets me, and I hope it upsets our leadership. Who do these guys think they are? Here's what went down today. I wrote a question on the bsc xvt message board asking how to report matches for the interim war using the imptac ships if you have them? Here is the reply I got from Burt the fish.

_TheOne_ wrote in reply to your message on the Xwing vs TIE Fighter Message
Board:

well

I advise you to read the rules of wars before you fly in them, they are their
for this purpose...

but here you go,

Rule #7.

Use of the ImpTac Ship Patch is allowed and encouraged. Patch craft should be
reported as their closest "relative." Examples:
TIE Defender, Star Viper and TIE Oppressor = TIE Advanced
E-Wing = A-Wing
T-Wing = Z-95
R-41 = Y-Wing
Shuttle, Missile Boat and Transport = Gunboat

Happy flying..

Who does this guy think he is? Looking at his player registration number I've been flying for longer than he's been alive. At least in XVT terms of living. BSC really needs to look at how they treat veteran pilots. And all pilots for that matter. I'm very unhappy and displeased with their services. Yes I'm venting, but the public needs to know how our "governing" body really feels about the people.

Well that doesn't look all that harsh Ace, and an answer was provided and in a location that all participants, quite frankly, should have read.
RBL has always prided itself on our members Knowledge of the rules prior to participating.
I am sure you have had match games then come to find out one pilot does not know how to report or maybe not even registered for the match.

Glad to see some things may be happening for XvT yet.
Have fun out there........

yea it didn't seem too harsh, yet it did have a condescending tone to it. BSC is pretty good overall, but their site is like a cobweb held together by band-aids, hard to find information if your not used to the site. They should clean their site up a little bit before they make condescending remarks heheh

*S* Hey Ace sometimes the way things people type or say things take on a whole different meaning than intended. Although I see your point, I would give the guy the benifit of the doubt or consider the source. (he doesent know what a swell guy you are!) but anyhow I would have to agree with Azis that It wasnt that annoying, there are bigger fish to fry than insipid BSC responses, so i would let it go and move on to having fun dont let it steal your joy!-Aslan Wink

Definately consider the source. Burt is always like that.

Don't take it personally though man.

Uhhhhhhhhhh....... *smacks self for not paying attention* football has got me wiped *sleep* zzzzzzzzzzz
It's best to watch a furball collapse, analyzing the movements of the enemy. Watch how they maneuver, when they fire, how they break. Visualize your own attacks against those observations, then go in for the kill. Sometimes, though, you don't get that advantage. It's at these times where you go in guns blazing, but keep your head on a swivel.
