Battle Front fans
#1
This is a sad time to be a fan of star wars battle front.  Free Radical had been developing the latest installment for the pc, xbox 360, and ps3.  Over the summer FR fell onto some financial hardships.  The game was roughly 90% complete...............Lucas Arts in all their publishing glory *dripping sarcasm*   :Smile  ???  Jettisoned the project in favor of promoting Force Unleashed.......... >Sad  IMO if LA had helped FR financially to the point of releasing the game, FR surely could have recovered on sales alone.  Then once ad revenue and other marketing revenue started coming in they could have survived.  That's my opinion of the situation.  LA did not do this, and FR is no more.

Some other studios were lobbying to try to get the rights (sp?) to pick up the title.  This game has been one of the biggest selling star wars properties in the console market.  Around Sept/Oct fans of this series were given a little sliver of hope.  Pandemic Studios picked up the title!!  They did a good job on the first two so naturally this made sense.  A major problem comes into play at this point.  Pandemic is now owned by the evil empire of gaming known as EA.  About a week ago EA announced that they are closing Pandemic Studios?????!!!!!   >Sad  >Sad  :'(  >:/

The fate of Star Wars Battle Front 3 is still up in the air, but in all reality this project is k.i.a.  What a shame what a shame.

That sounds like a cluster****. I still play BF2 on occasion too. LA can really mess em up sometimes.
Rebel parts... Imperial parts... All Made on Tatooine!!!
