ahhhhhhh good times and good shots mate!  hey bro what nascar game was that?  I have/had a couple of the older sierra nascar games for the PC.  Those are/were awesome!  I think mine is the '99 version which was one of the first years they had the busch cars and the truck series.  *S*

Those are from Nascar 2003 season by Papyrus which was Sierra's last before EA took over NASCAR sims. Its not only my opinion that EA has yet to match Papyrus racing sims and 2003 season is still considered the best NASCAR sim available by most.

There is a serious hardcore racing league that runs a regular season, and broadcasts the races which veteran sim drivers and Bush and Cup drivers as well compete for season championship. The races are broadcast with announcers, commercials, sponsors for the drivers...(everything the REAL big boys do)

I agree that the sierra and papyrus combination was the best thing for nascar.  those games rocked but I had a diff time with them lol........back then I didn't have a controller or wheel for my pc so I used the num pad 4 and 6 keys to steer, num pad 8 for gas, num pad 5 brakes ect ect lol.  20 laps anywhere and my hand was cramping so bad hehe.  this is a minor detail but the thing I miss the most is how they let you make your own custom paint jobs.  don't know if you can still do this in th ea games but I know you can't on consoles.  if sierra gets nascar back I might consider another pc purchase, but for now I've found a way to have fun with the consoles versions by ea, but I do miss the overall quality from the pc that sierra always found.
