Homes I don't know about the faction points but I did not get the option for the RBL base landing either until my rebel pilot trainer sent me there looking for my next rebel pilot trainer Brother Vrovel, who is supposed to continue my pilot training. Now when I com the Dantooine station I get the options to get *special landing permission* or looking for work(LOL there was an easy 40k to make just running pickups with only campers at the pickup and they did not attack I had to, well the first one I just ran like hell heheheh) The missions to land are escort the freighter, kill the freighter, or kill the escort fighters....either way the fighters have to be dealt with. I guess my starfighter days may be over as I have only got the freighter within 2500M or so once! The other times on either of the missions end rather soon in my demise.
I am only certified for mid level components and am pretty maxed out on both ships so this ole fool is gonna need some cover to continue my pilot training I guess.
On another pilot training note however, while on Mos Eisley last night I was confronted with a Jaba consorter and offered some work in a round about way I think for Jabba to get back ag Jabba....????? Did the lil dirty deed for the punk and was supposed to contact Dravis the Smuggler privateer pilot trainer. He was not at the waypoint nor was ne one with ne help. I did find Dravis the Privateer pilot trainer 42m inside the cantina from the waypoint..?!?!?!? but even tho there was a chat bubble and the tilde key would give the option to converse....he would not nor would the junk dealer or the smuggler leader in that room....!?!?!? I tried restart full scan all the normal crap I shouldn't have to do paying to play, to no avail.
Hmmmmmm go figure the Gorath server is the only one down this morn......sure hope that this was a bug that gets fixed. The problem with having such PITIFULL instruction is spending time (lots sometimes) trying to figure out if its normal game play or a bug!!!!
Holmes I noticed when I joined the ground forces they offered me a promo too (heheh only private tho
) as well as supplies and other things but those would have cost me faction points....none of which I took not even the promo....LOL I aint in it for the glory 
If you got to pay for ur promo's hehehe well sumin wrong with the structure.
