Our beloved, departed squadron leader was a great guy. A wonderful pilot and the best wingman you could ask for to watch your six. I didn't know him very well, though I wish I had taken the time in my younger years to do so.

I joined this squadron WAAAAAAY back in middle school, seems like forever ago. Needless to say, you guys have seen me grow up. When I first joined, I was 15 years old, bright eyed and ready to take on the world. Now, I am 32, and life has caught up to me. I got married last year on Sept. 13 two days after Hurricane Irma sent two tornados through the wedding venue and flooded it under 12 feet of water from the rising St. Johns river. We had plans for members of Squad 7 of the Florida Garrison of the 501st to be there as an honor guard for the wedding. Star Wars themed of course! My wife was dressed as Leia from the award ceremony scene of A New Hope, and I as Han Solo. Everyone in attendance was in full Jedi garb save for my sister the Jawa and my mother-in-law in the funerary dress of Padme Amidala. (She had no idea it was the burial dress, lol!) Even though the venue was destroyed and over 40 guests could not make it including my best man (who had a screen accurate Chewie costume but was flooded in), we pulled off the wedding my wife had always dreamed of.

Despite dreams (delusions) of grandeur in my youth, I found myself working as a maintenance technician in a warehouse. A bit mundane, but someone has to keep a mile of conveyor running, not to mention the whole myriad of other problems the warehouse has. It's decent pay and the benefits are great, and it keeps my wife and I comfortable.

My wife, Lauren, is an AVID SW gamer. Her favorites being KOTOR and the original Battlefront II. She decorates our home with Star Wars everything, and I love it.

As for gaming, these days my Xbone is monopolized by her. On PC I'm mostly on World of Warplanes and Overwatch. Oh, I FINALLY found my left-handed joystick after almost 2 decades of searching! Turns out that, by custom order, Thrustmaster will make a couple of their designs in left-handed configuration. The same cannot be said for their throttle assemblies though, but I've learned to use my TWCS backwards with my right hand just fine.

I know we have a squad setup on World of Warplanes, but I never see any of you online. Shoot me a message some time, I'll be happy to be your wingmate! Tier 1 - Tier 7 right now, as I just got my P-51H.

I haven't forgotten you guys!

Omega is the server name, so far only one server, however it is treated as "live". E.g. no freebie dev stuff handed out.

Edit: I forgot to mention, you do get one free 90 vet reward to be used on only one toon.

I have three characters so far (Omega server):
Holmez   - Commando
Mr-Miagi - Crafter (droid engineer)
Bodie - Entertainer

Would be great to see some familiar faces if anyone is interested

Ahhh the force is strong with this one!  My brothers and sisters if you have not seen this movie yet you need to.  Will not post any spoilers but I will say that this is a war movie set in the star wars universe.  The battle scenes imo are more brutal than what we saw in the force awakens!  I want to discuss some things pretty bad but will wait until ya'll have seen it ☼§☼

Hey buys been a while since I have officially checked in here hehe.  Got a small issue I was wondering if ya'll can help me with?  I downloaded Xwing and Tie Fighter from Good Old Games and have been enjoying going back in time.  They worked great and the visual updates are stunning.  All of the sudden yesterday both games crashed and I got an error message saying they are not compatible with Windows 10.  I have had Win 10 the whole time and they had worked perfectly until yesterday.  Any ideas on how I can keep them working?  This issue is with the Xwing 95 Special Edition and the Tie Fighter 95 Special Edition.  The classic versions from 93 work perfectly but damn those visuals are hard to go back to lol.......Cheers mates!  ☼§☼]]>
