I was listening to Mark and Brian and they had a turkey farmer on. He said turkeys is so stupid that if you chase them into a corner they dont know how to get out and will stay there till they die :o
He said that if in an open field during a rain storm, they have to get the dogs to herd them back to shelter cuz they will look up and drown LOL!!!
While Holmes turkeys may not be native/wild, there are indeed wild turkeys in the Ozarks...close to your parents aint it Holmes?
lol They can be killed with a bb gun too. I used to get a laugh out of the hunters in my hometown braggin about turkey huntin, I was always like hey thats about like takin candy from a baby aint it? heheheh
yep my folks live right in between Ozark and Nixa.... lots of wild turkeys indeed

Keep in mind, there are 2 species of turkey - 'Wild' and 'Domestic'(to say nothing of subspecies) and the difference between the 2 in the intelliigence dept. is like the difference between night and day. A true wild turkey has a real reputation for cunning and is what your Benjamin Franklyn had in mind when he suggested it as a better symbol for your nation than the bald eagle.(No, I'm NOT gonna use the domestic version and make a political comment...lol)
On a side note, having worked in the poultry business for 5 years, I've seen what even domesticated turkey's are capable of....trust me, you DON'T want to get hit in a tender area(to be polite) by the wing of 1 while handling them live. ??? :o :'( >

True wild turkeys are a bit of a pain, from what I gather. But even they have their "Pinky" turkeys. ;D
