What, ya want a nubian princess flying wing formation with you? lol Seriously though, mining asteroids is only as hard or easy as ya make it. Once ya get a high enough pilot rating to get the clearance to USE the equipment(which I don't have yet :'(), there are just a few things you need. Natch, you need to install a cargo hold in your ship to load the mined material into. To do the actual mining..a mining laser comes in handy(not sure if standard blasters are suitable or not). Finally, in order to LOAD the fragments into your hold, a tractor beam needs to be installed. Mind you, I've not tried any of this yet myself(from I gather, it isn't easy), but I can guess at what's needed based on my schematics list I have as a shipwright/architect trader. Ya need any of these items built for ya, let me know. Selling the mined goods shouldn't be difficult(heck, I'D buy em off ya), just need to key in on WHICH minerals people WANT to buy.
Well cool, ifn u wanted to fund it or what have ya by supplyin the equipment I wouldnt mind havina go at runnin it. Course depends on what pilot rating is needed and since my skill level aint runnin no one over, it could prove to be a major hurdle. I have docked with some of the mining outposts that offer to buy resources also but if you would have use of them for crafting then sell off surplus or yada yammer uno :p
Okietay, 1 round of parts, coming up. Not sure bout the tracter beam being within your range to use though, my poor memory seems to recall that was rather high up the scale. I'll see what I can scare up though.
I was under the impression that for mining you needed a mining ship specifically...but I freely admit I have no clue if this is the case or not.
Welp, if ya read the other thread I started, apparently one needs asteriod minerals(SPECIFIC ones) to BUILD the equipment needed for mining, INCLUDING versions for fighters(a Ywing for example, could be outfitted). Problem is, to GET the specific minerals, ya NEED MINING equipment! :'( :'( :

I can build the equipment, if someone can point me in a direction to get pick up the minerals. So far, I've come up with NADA.

Yea, I'm pretty sure it wasn't you guys (seeing as some folks aren't sure where my house even IS lol).
I submitted a ticket and shall check in every so often to see if anything is done. Talking with one CSR I attempted a couple things, but it was a no go, so that was added to the ticket comments.
Like I said Tank. Give me a detailed list and I may be able to replace alot of it for ya, aside from vet rewards and such.
Don't think you're able to replace the three veterans rewards. The others you probably could. I'll see if a CSR actually gets something done first before I just write'em off (and possibly the game).
