Ok everyone breath, it's not Xwing Alliance 2, or Tie Fighter 2, what it is is Star Wars Battlefront. This game was just announced today and is currently in development. Yet another third person shooter, this game sounds very promising. LA is taking a short break from the Jedi Order and letting players take up blaster rifles and other weapons in this ground based action game. You will be able to fight in massive battles with the Alliance Army, Imperial Army, Clone Army, or Droid Army. The major land engagements from the movies and maybe a few of the major battles from some of the novels around them movies will be featured here. The game is planned to be released for the xbox, ps 2, and pc. This game looks like an awesome multiplayer game from the press release. 32 players will be supported in one game room over the internet. While the consoles will feature games of 16 players. It's scheduled to come out in the fall of 2004. I'm personally hoping to have a new pc by then so I can join the internet battles, but time will tell.
